Soon-Hock is associate professor and Head, Behavioural Science Core at the Singapore University of Social Sciences. He oversees a group of compulsory foundation courses that undergraduates from Communication, Sociology, and Psychology have to enrol and pass in order to graduate. As faculty, he taught both undergraduate and graduate courses in research methods. In the area of research, he is interested in areas pertaining to older workers in Singapore; health and well-being of the elderly population in Singapore; healthy life expectancy; intergenerational relationships within the family.
