The main interests of my laboratory are:
-Respiratory infectious diseases (such as influenza/pneumonia) and vaccines to prevent them. We are also interested in how vaccines work and how their efficacy can be improved.
-Examination of how aging influences the immune response to both infectious diseases and vaccinations, including both T cell and humoral responses.
-The influence of innate cytokines on the immune response to both infection and vaccination and how this is affected by aging.
-The impact of senescence on immune responses, especially to infectious diseases such as influenza.
-Development of novel models to investigate the impact of aging on immune responses.
