The Thompson laboratory is focused on elucidating cellular and molecular mechanisms responsible for age and inactivity-induced muscle dysfunction. Current investigations are focused on skeletal muscle protein expression, post-translational chemical modifications of key muscle proteins, and the role of antioxidants.
