I am a gerontological and geriatric educator based at a medical school and the VA. I have held a number of leadership positions including serving as the President of the National Association of Geriatric Education Centers, elected member of the Executive Committee of the the Association of Gerontology in Higher Education (the educational unit of the Gerontological Society of America), and President of the State Society on Aging of New York. I am also Chairperson of the Board of Linkage House, a housing fund development corporation funded by the US Dept. of Housing and Urban Development, which I founded with community and academic partners.
