Dr. Julie Faieta

Bio

My name is Julie Faieta, PhD, MOT, OTR/L, I am a postdoctoral fellow in rehabilitation science at Université Laval. My primary area of research is the development and evaluation of assistive and pervasive technology-based interventions to address health span and quality of life in individuals with neurodegenerative conditions and caregiver populations. With a specific interest in Alzheimer’s disease and technology-mediated interventions, I am investigating interventions that can be effectively implemented with persons at risk of disease development and across each stage of the disease progression.  In addition to my formal research work, I maintain involvement in the American Congress of Rehabilitation Medicine’s Neurodegenerative Diseases Networking Group as chair of the Alzheimer’s Disease Task Force and as social media officer, and currently serve on the Board of Directors for the Rehabilitation Engineering Society of North America. Finally, I continue to maintain licensure as a clinical occupational therapist within the United States.
