Bio

Diverse corporate, non-profit, and advocacy experience before entering the field of aging. Work in direct care began in 1993 and provided context for academic studies from 2009 to the present. Interests in the bio-psycho-social aspects of aging include ageism, aging-labels, aging stigma, and self-efficacy, awareness and attitudes about aging, cultural competency, cognitive reserve, pedagogy for lifetime learning, and the differentiation of aging-related sensorineural and cognitive changes from minor neurocognitive disorders.
