Bio

Currently holds 2 MasterĀ“s degrees; one in Social Gerontology completed in 2022 and in Social Work completed in 2007. Received a Postgraduate Certificate in Social Work Practice with the Elderly in 2006, and completed a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 2002 from Florida International University. Currently pursuing a Doctorate in Gerontology and Geriatrics at the University of Porto. Received a Doctoral Fellowship in 2021. Has worked for 13 years with the elderly population as a geriatrics case manager in the area of managed long term care. Her research areas of interest are spirituality and lifelong learning.
