I have PhD in Social Work & a masters degree in Gerontology, both from the University of Kansas. I am a Assistant Professor at the University of Rhode Island. My position is part of an innovative, interdisciplinary cluster hire initiative entitled, "Aging of Society: Lifespan Health." I teach research, program evaluation, gerontology, and health policy courses in the Departments of Human Development and Families Studies and Political Science.

Social integration for older adults, particularly those in need of long term services & supports
Productive and meaningful engagement for older adults with health and functional limitations
Coordination of formal long term care services and informal supports
