This year at the GSA Annual Scientific Meeting in Washington, we will be piloting two "East Meets West" symposia, each in a two-hour special time slot. One will feature a discussion comparing current clinical problems facing older adults in China and the U.S., the other will make comparisons on end-of-life care in South Korea and the U.S. The goal of these symposia is to cultivate collaborative research relationships. The organizers will present a brief overview of the topic from the east and west perspectives, followed by panel presentations and other strategies designed to enable attendees to share their areas of expertise.
