Hi Debra,
Thank you for your message about GSA interest groups. I am co-convener of the Qualitative Research Interest Group. In addition to sharing a passion for qualitative research, our group organizes symposia through use of our listserv and conference calls. This year, two of our symposia include:
Vulnerable Populations and the IRB in Qualitative Work
Improving the Transitional Care Process
Attending our meeting is a great way to connect with others who share your research interests:
Friday, November 7, 2014
7:00 PM - 8:30 PM
East Salon B (CC)
All are welcome, and please contact me if you have any questions.
Best,
Abby

Subject: Interest Groups at GSA14
GSA has many interest groups that are formed around a topic or issue that cuts across disciplines. Interest groups meet at the Annual Scientific Meeting and provide opportunities for networking, collaboration on research projects, and increased involvement for members and non-members in the conference program. As Chair of the Interest Group Committee, I'd like to encourage you to attend these sponsored sessions as well as attend the meetings that interest you. You can learn more about the 40+ interest groups here. I've attached a sheet with their meeting times and locations. You can also search "Interest Groups" in the Meeting Planner to find sponsored sessions.
Interest Group Conveners, I encourage you to reply to this discussion and tell attendees about your interest group.
Debra
