Bio

I am an Associate Professor in Health and Aging Studies at the University of Indianapolis and am an AGHE Fellow.  I have taught for over ten years in the areas of gerontology and health promotion, over half of which have been in an exclusively online environment. My scholarly pursuits include the qualitative exploration of self-concept among older women, the intersection of intergenerational learning and ageist attitudes, online service-learning, and gerontology education. I have been involved in GSA, with a special interest in the Academy for Gerontology in Higher Education, since graduate school.  My involvement has offered me incredible opportunities for networking, professional development, scholarship, and friendship over the years!
