I am a postdoctoral fellow in Geriatric Epidemiology at the Yale School of Medicine. My research focuses on the social and psychological determinants of aging. I use person-centered and multidimensional approaches to characterize the social support networks of older adults and to examine the effects of social relationships on disability and cognitive decline. The overall goal of my work is to facilitate a deeper understanding of the role of social support and caregiving networks in preventing and delaying onset and progression of disability and cognitive decline and subsequently inform the development of effective strategies to promote healthy aging.
