Ana Tuya Fulton, MD, FACP
Dr. Fulton is originally from the Northern Virginia area, and has been in Rhode Island for over ten years. After graduating from George Washington University School of Medicine, Dr. Fulton completed a residency in internal medicine, followed by chief residency and geriatric fellowship, all at Brown University. She joined the faculty of Brown University in 2006. Currently, she is Care New England Chief of Geriatrics and Chief of Internal Medicine at Butler Hospital. She was inducted as a fellow of the American College of Physicians in 2011. Her areas of academic and professional interest include end of life care and quality of care for patients with advanced cognitive impairment. A major focus of her clinical and academic work is on improving transitional care for persons with cognitive impairment or chronic mental illness and on the concurrent care of difficult, complex older adults. This work has led to numerous publications and national presentations. She is very active in clinical and didactic teaching of Brown medical students, residents, and fellows.
