Dear Friends,
I would like to highlight a Presidential Symposium that will be presented on Saturday 11/8 from 3-4:30pm:
Grantwriting for Emerging and Junior Scholars: From Bench to Bedside to Policy
I encourage ESPO members and veteran scholars to attend this session as it will provide practical advice on topics such as:
- choosing a grant
- preparing and applying
- the peer review process
- alternative funding ideas
- grant writing for scholars seeking non-university careers
We will incorporate speakers from each section of GSA (HS, BSS, SRPP, and BS) who have had success in writing different types of grants, including dissertation grants, K awards, F32 awards, internal grant awards from universities, as well as grant awards from national organizations. This is a session that is informational and pragmatic for scholars in any stage of their careers!
Is there anything you wish you would have known when applying for a grant? Please share your thoughts in this discussion as it will help us build our Q&A portion of the session.
Looking forward to seeing you all very soon!
